Senior Product Analyst

The Role
The Senior Product Analyst will support and promote the refinement of existing and development of new products. The role will support and provide inputs across the product development lifecycle stages including, but not limited to, exploration, design, build and test, and product launch. This position allows for the swift development and refinement of a comprehensive set of market research skills and provides the opportunity to develop a relationship with a young and rapidly growing enterprise. As part of the Product team, there is abundant opportunity to grow and shape this role as the team grows. This position will report to the Managing Director, Corporate Product and support Hanover’s Product Managers across all three practice areas: Corporate, Higher Education, and K-12. We expect all employees to be intellectually curious, ambitious, and interested in assuming increasing levels of responsibility.




  • Support and provide input across the product development lifecycle, including but not limited to competitive intelligence, product testing and maintenance, in-depth product reviews, etc.

  • Independently manage projects and associated deadlines;

  • Comfortable researching topics with varying levels of familiarity;

  • Collect and analyze information from a variety of internal and external sources including survey, secondary desktop research, and qualitative insights;

  • Analyze complex research requests to provide actionable insights;

  • Synthesize data from relevant sources to support insights;

  • Create professional deliverables on a variety of product and market research topics with minimal guidance or oversight, requiring minimal edits;

  • At times may be asked to conduct in-depth interviews with but not limited to internal stakeholders, industry experts, member customers, competitors, competitor customers, or anyone relevant to our research;

  • May be asked to support other product-related tasks and projects.

  • Ability to work under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment;
  • Strong command of primary, secondary, and quantitative methodologies and procedures;
  • Experience writing and researching for a business or professional audience;
  • Ability to accept feedback and constructive critique positively;
  • Experience in an undergraduate or graduate research role (institutional research, assessment, etc.) is preferred;
  • Strong command of the English language and demonstrated writing and editing skills;
  • Demonstrable problem solving skills;
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Ability to cultivate relationships with internal stakeholders;
  • Extremely strong and demonstrable work ethic;
  • Proven academic achievement;
  • High comfort level with Microsoft Office applications, such as MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Power Point;
  • Familiarity with Agile processes preferred;
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools, PowerBI and Tableau, preferred.


Education Requirement:
A Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Psychology, Political Science, Sociology, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline is preferred, though candidates with relevant experience who hold other degrees will be considered.
Experience Requirement:
1 - 3 years of business or academic experience conducting research, survey design/analysis, or professional writing preferred. Applied market research experience is preferred.
